Marcin Majerkiewicz: Monster who cut up housemate & dumped genitals in plastic bag jailed for life - Mirror Online

A twisted thug has been jailed at Manchester Crown Court for life with a minimum term of 34 years for murdering his housemate, cutting him up into 27 pieces and dumping the remnants in plastic bags.

Warped Marcin Majerkiewicz, 42, bludgeoned Stuart Everett to death before cutting his body up with a hacksaw and depositing the parts in different locations across Salford and north Manchester. Only about a third of 67-year-old Mr Everett’s body has ever been found. Jailing him for life, with a minimum term of 34 years, Mr Justice Cavanagh, told the monster: “You acted in an almost unbelievably cold-blooded and macabre way, and showed complete disrespect and contempt for your friend's remains. This denied dignity to Stuart Everett even in death, and greatly increased the pain suffered by Stuart Everett's family when the murder came to light.”

Sitting at Manchester crown court he said: “You then undertook the grisly, bloody and macabre task of dismembering Stuart Everett's body into small pieces. You did this on the floor of your bedroom. Over the next week or so you disposed of the body parts. You took a break over Easter weekend, when there would have been too many people about, and you stored the body parts in a freezer until they were deposited.”

He said: “You embarked upon a careful, elaborate and lengthy exercise to conceal the fact that Stuart Everett was dead. With almost unspeakable cruelty, after Stuart Everett's death, you messaged his brother Richard Ziemacki and his brother's family in Derby, using Stuart Everett's phone, to give the impression to them that he was still alive, but had fallen ill and was too unwell to speak to them.”

The judge told Majerkiewicz - who showed no emotion as sentence was passed - he hit Mr Everett over the head at least four times with a heavy blunt instrument, probably a hammer, on the night of March 27 last year.

Majerkiewicz - who has characters from gory films tattooed on his body, including Jason from Friday the 13th and the Predator - had denied murdering Mr Everett in March last year. But a jury at Manchester crown court found him guilty following a three week trial.

Mr Everett's body was recovered from locations including Kersal Dale in Salford, Boggart Hole Clough in Blackley, Blackleach Reservoir and Linnyshaw Colliery Wood in Walkden and land off Chesterfield Close in Eccles.

Speaking in court today, the judge went on: “I have no doubt that your intention was shortly to move away from Manchester, probably to go abroad, in the hope that your offending would never be discovered, or at least that you would never be traced.

“In fact, you almost got away with your crime. It was only the result of truly outstanding police work, plus one great piece of luck, that led to your arrest and ultimate conviction.”

A victim impact statement on behalf of Mr Everett’s brother was read to court. Referring to his brother by his nickname, Benny, he said: “My wife and my family have been devastated by the inhumane and cruel way his life was ended. We cannot express how we all feel about losing such an endearing and loving human being.

“Not only were we all horrified by the way he left us, but for any person to be treated in the way he was, systematically and comprehensively disposed of has left us traumatised beyond belief. Benny did not deserve to have his life ended in such a callous and premeditated manner.”

He continued: “In the last few weeks leading up to the trial, me and my family have been so apprehensive. Listening to all the evidence and its horrendous content has been very challenging. Every day we have sat watching in disbelief as the evidence unfolded and clearly shown the way my brother’s end had been planned and orchestrated by an incredibly devious monstrous individual.”

And he said: “Benny’s ashes currently sit on my fireplace at home. I tap the urn each morning and say good morning to him. I say his ashes, the ashes we have are only 35 per cent of my unique, loving, caring brother, 65 per cent of him remains unfound.

“I cannot dwell on where the other parts of my brother have been disposed of or what has happened to them. I have to cherish what I have. I would like to think this trial would be the end of my brother’s demise, but there have been many possible deposition sites where he wasn’t found, and I accept local wildlife may take a part in locating the rest of him.

“His killer has unjustly chopped him into pieces, and my family and I still live in fear that parts of my brother may well still be found in the future. This possibility will always live with us. I intend to visit Poland at some point and lay his ashes with my parents, which I am certain would be his wish.”

The two men lived together in the same house on Worsley Road in Winton. Mr Everett was subletting two rooms in his home, one to Majerkiewicz and another to a third man named Michal Polchowski.

Prosecutors were never able to prove a motive for the sickening killing, but claimed that Majerkiewicz had been experiencing a “growing sense of frustration” with Mr Everett.
